Graco Modes Nest2Grow DLX Stroller

Graco Modes Nest2Grow DLX Stroller

The rain was coming down sideways, a proper gale whipping off Lake Michigan. I was crouched, chin tucked against the icy sting, trying to wrestle the Graco Modes Nest2Grow DLX into its double-stroller configuration. My own kids, two years apart, would have made this a whole lot easier. Thankfully, I was just running a test.

Expanding a single stroller to accommodate a second child is a design challenge. It’s about balance, weight distribution, and a whole heap of engineering cleverness. The Nest2Grow DLX, right out of the box, certainly looks the part. The smooth, almost matte finish of the frame conveys a sense of quality; a far cry from the sometimes flimsy feel of budget strollers I’ve wrestled with. The included infant car seat compatibility is a massive plus, and the way it clicks seamlessly into place? Utterly satisfying. This integrated system is particularly clutch for new parents—one less thing to worry about during those chaotic first few months.

My initial concern revolved around maneuverability. Double strollers, especially when laden with cargo, can feel like driving a bus. The Nest2Grow DLX, thankfully, handles like a dream. The front swivel wheels are lockable for rougher terrain, a feature I always appreciate. The all-wheel suspension smooths out bumps and uneven surfaces. This is crucial. Think cobblestone streets, cracked sidewalks… this stroller doesn’t flinch.

Now, let’s talk about the details. The seat reclines practically flat, accommodating newborns. The adjustable handlebar is key, especially if parents have differing heights. The storage basket is generous and accessible—because let’s be real, you will need space for a diaper bag, snacks, and approximately one million tiny toys.

But… and there’s always a “but,” isn’t there? The fold, while manageable, requires a bit of practice. It’s not the one-hand, magic-trick fold of some competitor models like the Uppababy Vista. However, once you get the hang of it, it’s perfectly workable. Just remember to practice it a couple times before that first solo trip out the door.

The Nest2Grow DLX strikes a great balance between features and value. If you’re planning on expanding your family, or simply want a versatile stroller that grows with your child, this is a very strong contender. The ease of use and all-around functionality, in my opinion, makes this model one of the best buys for the money. Grab it.
